EX-ANTE VERIFICATION

  • As per the information retrieved from ECHA’s webpage, The new ex-ante size verification process will apply from 5 February 2027. Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) intending to submit registrations or applications for authorisation must obtain company size validation before submitting their dossiers to ECHA in order to benefit from reduced fees.

  • The application for size verification must be submitted at least two months in advance and must include documentary evidence, such as headcount, turnover, and balance-sheet data for the enterprise itself, as well as for any linked and partner enterprises.

  • Companies are strongly advised to apply for size verification as early as possible before dossier submission to allow sufficient time to provide any additional documentation that ECHA may request

  • ECHA will conclude on the company size status within two months from the receipt of all required and complete documentation.
